Multiple pen cases

I have made a few multiple pen cases this is one of the most unusual. The brief was to make a case for three desk pens which are 8 inches long.

My starting point for this project was to create three tubes of Kydex.

When the three tubes were finished I used them to form the leather outer shell

As the shell was drying I removed the tubes and wrapped each one in yellow Nappa leather which is very soft.

As the outer was drying I started to apply the dye in this picture you can see the three pen case as well as the leather for a matching single pen case. I had been asked to create a wrap around closure for this case which is also there.

I then put everything together and added some glue.

After marking the stitching holes I sewed the case together

The mini logo on the end of the thong was made from a piece of brass.
